Autumn Lanterns

#Epiphany

Withering rays of amber

meet the grey,

shawls of change at sunset.

The pungent decomposition

lightened with

bursts of orange and yellow.

Dulcet reds bulging from

the blur of greens

illuminate a path

of acceptance,

inviting nostalgia to reign-

down the walkway of grief

and gratitude.

A cycle of purging and solace

unwinding in each limb-

a brief burst of epiphanies-

stoking the hearth fire

for sagely conversation.
