Red light creeps

over black vapors of night

whispering to the Earth

below-

Its sleek cover

a crimson song, pulsing

with the fervor of Life

all too quickly dulled

transformed- like the light

of existence in each of us.

My heartbeat attuned

to the shifts of hue

warming- brightening

to golden shades

widening

an orange sorbet smile

licking lemon yellow lips.

1000 breaths in a second

of her grand form rolling over

expiring into itself- rising

and falling

in its own melody-

Until the blue

eye of morning stretches

and summons the wings of

the world.
